A person of good intelligence and of sensitivity cannot exist in this society very long without having some anger about the inequality ― and it’s not just a bleeding-heart, knee-jerk, liberal kind of a thing ― it is just a normal human reaction to a nonsensical set of values where we have cinnamon flavored dental floss and there are people sleeping in the street.

The appropriate response

One day, people will realize that science is the ultimate recognition of proving ideas and aligning with nature. One day, people will realize that the human family is just that - a family, and that eventually we’ll end up in a system where everyone sees each other as family and get beyond the borders: jingoism, racism, classism… they’ll get beyond this because our sustainability is contingent upon the world understanding itself, the human species understanding where it came from, how it operates, and the world it lives in. If we deviate from the path of unification and using physical reference for all decision making, well, we’re doomed and it really won’t matter as society continues its breakdown. At the end of the day, when you look at back at your life, regardless of what you do, at least you can look back at yourself and say “Well, at least I tried”. There’s plenty of people out there who do nothing, that don’t think, vehemently attack those who want to change anything because they’re used to their misery. They’ll look back at their lives and unfortunately, they might feel a little less proud of what they’ve done, especially if our analysis in the Movement is correct with what we see coming as the global economic and environmental collapse continues.  Would you rather live with dignity or would you rather die on your knees in a system that doesn’t give a shit about you?

- Peter Joseph, Founder of The Zeitgeist Movement

if the world consisted of 100 people, 53 of those people would live on $2.00 a day or less.  Yet how many times do we complain about being “poor” or “broke”? Stop. We are rich. Filthy rich.
